What are the chapters
The New European Bauhaus (NEB) initiative, launched by the European Commission in 2021, has expanded its framework with the introduction of local chapters. These chapters aim to bring the NEB principles — beautiful, sustainable, together — closer to communities across Europe.
Local chapters act as grassroots units, enabling the NEB movement to operate at regional, city, or even neighborhood levels. They are informal, volunteer structures and do not receive EU funds for their operations. They provide platforms for local stakeholders to collaborate on sustainable and collaborative projects while respecting regional diversity and culture.
Chapters help translate NEB principles into actionable projects by offering tools, guidance, and localized solutions. By organizing events and initiatives, they aim to increase awareness about the NEB's vision for a greener and more collaborative Europe.
